November 16th, 2019 – Over 300 volunteer packed the old Sears building at the Hickory Point Mall to help pack boxes for the Judy Mason Thanksgiving Basket Project. Volunteers helped pack the boxes with canned vegetables and non-perishable items in preparing for the baskets to be delivered the week of Thanksgiving. Decatur resident Nick Walsh brought his family out to volunteer to give back to the community and show his kids the importance of community service.
There will be another volunteer event next Saturday from 9-10am and next Sunday from 3-5pm. You can also help financially by going to feed5for25.com to help cover the cost of the hams that will go into each of the boxes.
