The public should be on the lookout for fake emails or social media posts that claim to be from the Centers for Disease Control or other health organizations, especially if they are asking for information or money. Steve Barnas of the Better Business Bureau says that scammers are already finding ways to exploit the spread of COVID-19. The BBB advises people to check the websites of the Centers for Disease Control or the World Health Organization for accurate information.
