April 15, 2020 – Decatur City Manager Scot Wrighton discussed the following information in today’s City Update.
- Lake Decatur is open for fishing and recreation, so long as social distancing is practiced.
- The City is reminding residents to wear a face-covering or when going in public. Masks will be required to ride the public transit system.
- City Manager Scot Wrighton says the Decatur Police Department is available when called on to break up gatherings and groups of 10 or more.
- The City Council is interested in gathering community input through a coming survey which will be available online in the next few days.
- The City of Decatur encourages residents to patronize essential local businesses and restaurants during this time.
