April 27, 2020 – Meals on Wheels is requesting “love notes” from the community to give to the clients they serve.
Meals on Wheels delivers a hot meal to seniors in need. . but more importantly, provides social and emotional interactions with seniors who live alone.
During this pandemic, Meals on Wheels drivers are only able to leave meals on the doorstep and are not able to interact with their clients.
The organization is asking for encouraging notes, letters, colored pictures and other notes to add to the client’s meal delivery.
They do ask that those participating keep their notes anonymous or use first names only.
Notes can be dropped off at Catholic Charities offices or mailed to 247 W Prairie in Decatur.
