May 18th, 2020- The Mt. Zion Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce three winners of their annual college scholarship totaling $3,500.
Their scholarships are awarded to a qualified senior from the Mt. Zion School District or to the child of a chamber member who completed the official application, has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, shows proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university, and other criteria listed on the application form.
The following were the recipients of the scholarship this year:
Kate Jeffers from Okaw Valley High School will be attending the University of Illinois majoring in Elementary Education. Kate was awarded $1,500.
Michelle Roberts from Mt. Zion High School will be attending Millikin University majoring in Elementary Education. Michelle was awarded $1,000.
Alaina Wolter from Mt. Zion High School will be attending Illinois Wesleyan University majoring in the Pre-Physical Assistant program. Alaina was awarded $1,000.
