June 8th, 2020- Today, the City of Decatur will begin enforcing these violations. But as a courtesy, officials say they will provide a few days of grace period before issuing fines.
In addition, If you have racked up parking fines in the City of Decatur, you still have a small window to pay them off. The City of Decatur’s parking ticket amnesty payment program was extended until June 15th. The program was originally set to end on April 30 but was extended for 45 additional days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Violators of city parking regulations have the ability to clear past parking violations at ticket face value, avoiding and waiving late fees, and penalties. After the amnesty program ends, the City will pursue payment for the full amount, including all late fees and penalties.
