August 15, 2020 – The State is sending out two and a half million masks to public schools across Illinois. The cloth masks will go a long way towards protecting all students in the classroom for those that have returned to some form of in person learning says ISBE Spokesperson Jackie Matthews
Masks are required for kids and all school staff and are scientifically proven to be one of the best ways to reduce the spread of the virus says Matthews. The State is also shipping out face shields to be used for additional protection at school if needed.
