August 19, 2020 – State Officials say Illinois is heading in the wrong direction when it comes to COVID-19.
Illinois is close to hitting 212,000 positive cases and more than 7800 have died says State Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike.
Ezike says several regions of the state are seeing increases in positivity and hospital admission rates. The Governor says if numbers continue to rise, more areas will be subject to tighter restrictions.
