Virtual Prairie Pedal 2020 Allows Participants to Pick Mileage and Route

August 19, 2020 – The Macon County Conservation Foundation will be holding its annual Prairie Pedal bicycle ride fundraiser from now until Sunday, October 11.  The fundraiser will be virtual this year and held through the Prairie Pedal Facebook page.  All proceeds raised will go to support wildlife and natural areas in Macon County.

With the event being virtual, the decision of where and when you participate is completely up to you.  Pick your mileage and route and complete it in one ride or take your time and do parts of your ride each day. This year, the Prairie Pedal can be done by those walking as well.  Registration will cost $25 per rider.  Those who want to participate need to register by Sunday, September 27.

When you’re finished with your ride, take a picture of you or the route that you rode.  If you post your picture to Prairie Pedal’s Facebook or email your pictures to KUnruh@MaconCountyConservation.org and you’ll be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to Spin City Cycles.
