September 30, 2020 – The Illinois Department of Public Health has issued COVID-19 Guidelines for Halloween. Dr. Ngozi Ezike says that if you plan on handing out candy, you should wear a mask and that a cloth mask should be worn under Halloween masks. Indoor haunted houses will not be allowed, but open-air haunted trails are permitted. Pumpkin patches and hayrides are also permitted, but masks and social distancing are required.
