October 13, 2020 – Mail-in voting is underway in Illinois and nearly 660,000 people across the state have already cast their votes for the November election. Nearly 176,000 of the ballots that have been cast come from those who are taking advantage of early voting. The other nearly half-million are from mail-in ballots. Election officials are strongly urging voters to return their mail-in ballots as soon as possible to make sure they are included in totals for election night and given ample time to catch any errors.
