October 30, 2020 – Today, as part of its community service project, Recruit Class 20-10 at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center collected over 2,400 pounds of food that will be donated to the Northeast Community Fund.  Each of the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center’s recruit classes conducts a community service project as part of their training.  The 46 recruits from Class 20-10 collected more food than any previous class.  Recruits collected the food on their own without asking for help from the community.

The food will be donated in the names of Virginia “Grandma Rex” and Rex Bauer of Decatur.  Grandma Rex recently passed away and her family requested that, in lieu of flowers, the memorials be made to the Northeast Community Fund.
