November 12, 2020 – Millikin University students will be raising funds for the Millikin Big Blue Food Pantry through a grab and go Big Blue Soup Supper. The event will be on Tuesday, November 17th from 5 pm-7 pm at the Doug and Diane Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance, located on the first floor of University Commons on the Millikin campus.
Tickets will be $5/person and must be paid for in advance. Millikin Head Chef Brian Pehr and his dining services team will offer the following homemade items:
Signature Soups:
- Roasted Red Pepper with Smoked Gouda served with a Tuscan Dinner Roll
- Broccoli Cheese served with a Brioche Dinner Roll
- Chicken Noodle served with a Cheddar Chive Biscuit
Desserts:
- Apple Crumb Bar
- Fudge Brownie
Millikin’s Marketing Event Planning course does an annual fundraising dinner for students and the community to join in to support a local cause. This year’s cause is to support the Big Blue Food Pantry.
The Event Planning class’s goal is to raise enough funds for the Big Blue Food Pantry to be able to purchase a refrigerator and freezer for perishable items.
The three levels of sponsorship are as follows:
- $25 – Friend of the Pantry
- $50 – Guardian of the Pantry
- $100+ – Champion of the Pantry
