Decatur Urbanized Area Transportation Study Holding Virtual Meetings for Decatur Area Bike Plan

November 16, 2020 – The Decatur Urbanized Area Transportation Study (DUATS) along with the Decatur Park District, City of Decatur, Macon County, and the Village of Mount Zion will be hosting a virtual community workshop.  The workshop is a part of the planning process to develop a region-wide bicycle plan.  Bike Decatur will provide the area with policies, best practices, and strategic direction in order to implement a sustainable active transportation system. ‘

“The Community Workshop is a key component in developing a plan that serves the needs of all our residents, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend,” said Bill Clevenger, Executive Director of the Decatur Park District.  The virtual meeting is meant to provide an interactive opportunity for participants to guide discussions about the Decatur Area’s bicycling needs, review early study findings, and identify bicycle opportunities in the region.

The workshop was planned to be in-person, but due to the pandemic will be held in a virtual format during the following date and times:
