November 17, 2020 – Macon County CASA will hold its second virtual CASA Quarterback Draft on Thursday, December 10th. The CASA Quarterback draft is held to recruit more male volunteers to advocate for children on CASA. Macon County CASA currently has more than 630 children in foster care in the county. Half of those children are boys who have a need for a positive role model in their lives.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. A CASA is a volunteer that helps foster children navigate the overburdened child welfare system and ensure their needs are being met throughout their time in care.
