December 8, 2020 – Local first responders will go head to head for the Salvation Army for “Gurneys, Guns & Hoses”.

Local ambulance, city fire, county fire, police and sheriff’s office are hoping to ring in the red kettle cash for the Salvation Army.  The group that raises the most will be declared the champion.

To support your favorite first responders, you can visit the Salvation Army’s 5 Red Kettle “curbside” displays on Thursday, Dec 10.  Kettles for each group will be displayed outside of the Salvation Army in downtown Decatur.

In addition, first responders will be posted outside Walmart or Sam’s Club all day on Friday and Saturday Dec 11 & 12 from 8am to 8pm.

  • Police – Sam’s Club
  • City Fire – Walmart East Food Door
  • Sheriff – Walmart North Food Door

Each of the 5 ringing groups will also have a Virtual Kettle this year so that you can make an online donation.

All dollars raised during this event weekend will be matched up to $25,000.
