The pandemic has changed our lives in so many ways. Meeting up with friends and having ‘ordinary’ conversations is one of them. Six in ten adults are missing those talks about things like weather, celeb gossip, and sports.

Nearly half in a survey feel like a good conversation boosts their mood and even benefits their mental health. 75% said it makes their day.

Sadly about 24% said it’s been a long time since they’ve had one thanks to the pandemic, lockdowns, and social distancing. They feel apprehensive about talking to others altogether. Almost half are finding it harder than ever to think about things to talk about.

Because of all this, 57% fear the art of the conversation is slowly declining.
