March 24, 2021 – Support natural areas and wildlife by running or walking in the Virtual Rock Springs Ramble 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. The Macon County Conservation Foundation is holding this new 5K fundraiser from now through Saturday, April 10.
This fundraiser supports the Macon County Conservation Foundation: a non-profit organization that funds natural area restoration and educational programs at the Macon County Conservation District and Rock Springs Nature Center. All proceeds support natural areas and wildlife in Macon County, Illinois.
Due to COVID-19, the 2021 Rock Springs Ramble will be a virtual event. This also gives participants the flexibility of choosing when and where to complete their walk or run.
Participants are encouraged to complete their run/walk on their own at:
1) Rock Springs Conservation Area,
2) a favorite natural area, or
3) any other location, on any day they choose.
Registration is $30/person for either the 5K or 1-mile Fun Run or $5/child for the Kid’s Fun Run. Space is limited to 100 total registrants for the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run. Registered participants may pick up their awards from inside Rock Springs Nature Center, any time during normal Nature Center hours, from now to the end of April.
Registration is available here.
