April 28, 2021 – The Decatur Area Arts Council and the Springfield Area Arts Council, in conjunction with Arts Alliance Illinois, are looking for local artists to create art projects to inspire and encourage folks to get their COVID vaccination.
- Proposed art projects may be in any artistic form you prefer… visual art, film/video, photography, music, performance, poetry… be creative!
- Proposals should focus on reaching people under age 35, people of color, and/or women.
- Proposals don’t need to be completed works, but must include enough detail for the selection committee to consider.
- Each project will receive a $1500 stipend for the artist’s time and materials.
- Five projects will be chosen from Decatur/Springfield area submissions.
- Proposals submitted prior to April 30 will receive first consideration.
- All awarded projects must be completed and presented to the public by August 1, 2021, through coordination with DAAC and SAAC.
