If they make a giant blockbuster of it, a low budget version will soon follow. Ape vs Monster is just that! A low budget take on Godzilla vs Kong.
The plot oozes low budget, literally. Here’s the synopsis:
An ape, lost in space, crash-lands back to Earth. The vessel oozes a sludge that triggers massive growth in both the ape, as well as a passing Gila monster. Once the creatures reach titanic size, their paths cross again, leading to a giant brawl in which Mankind hangs in the balance.
The team behind this film, Asylum, is known for cranking out legal knockoffs of big budget films – Snakes on a Train, Top Gunner, Fast & Fierce, and Tomb Invader just to name a few. They also gave us the glory that was Sharnado.
No release date yet to Ape vs Monster.
