May 19, 2021 – The Junior Welfare Association (JWA) has announced the JWA Fund Run will take place June 6-12, 2021. This Virtual 5K will allow participants to run or walk 3.1 miles at their own pace, date, and location, all while supporting JWA’s programs which support the Macon County community. Participants are encouraged to enter their race times into the provided form on the JWA website upon completion of their 5K.
Walk, run, or jog indoors (on a track or treadmill) or outside in the neighborhood or a park, this virtual race is a great way to get comfortable moving to your own beat and gaining confidence in your strength and endurance. Get moving and support Macon County youth in the process. Registration is due by Friday, May 21, 2021, to guarantee a t-shirt.
Registration is $35 and includes a race t-shirt and medal. Packet pickup will take place on June 4 from 5-7 pm and June 5 from 9-11 am at Hudson Orthodontics. If you are not local to the Macon County area, packets can be shipped for an additional cost. Register today here. Proceeds from the Fund Run will benefit Junior Welfare Association’s scholarships to high school seniors, grants to community organizations, and their signature program, the Deborah Collier Memorial Fund, which provides shoes, socks, and undergarments to Macon County youth.
