June 30, 2021 – Many animals have ways to defend themselves from predators, including special toxins like poison and venom. Explore the difference between the two at Rock Springs Nature Center, during Poison vs. Venom on Saturday, July 10 at 2 pm.
Learn how and why animals use these defenses, and which animals have them in Macon County. This program is free and for all ages. Must pre-register online by noon on Friday, July 9 at MaconCountyConservation.org.
Rock Springs Conservation Area is located on the southwestern edge of Decatur. To get to Rock Springs from Decatur, go south on Route 48 and turn west onto Rock Springs Road or go south on Wyckles Road and turn east onto Rock Springs Road. Watch for signs.
