July 2, 2021- Pride Month may be over, but the local LGBTQ+ community is far from finished celebrating.
Several people came out to Central Park yesterday afternoon draped in pride flags, rainbows, and signs showing support for the LGBTQ+ community. Organizer August Reed said “Education is the biggest thing. I want to make sure everyone knows who we are and how to support us. We just want the same support as everybody else.”
He also added that we can expect future Pride events leading up to Decatur Pride in September.
