By Michelle Mitchell Jul 12, 2021 | 11:13 AM

July 12, 2021 – Did you know Rock Springs is home to multiple gardens? These gardens are cooperative efforts of Macon County Conservation District, Master Gardeners, and Master Naturalists. Enjoy a lovely evening stroll to learn about organic heirloom gardening with methods dating back to 1860, plants that are native to Illinois, and more.

“Increase your knowledge of the gardens located at Macon County Conservation District with Master Gardeners and a Master Naturalist leading guided garden tours,” says Master Gardener Coordinator Julia Duncan. “Dive in to learning more about natives, herbs, and heirloom gardening.”

Rock Springs Garden Tours will be at 5:30 pm on July 28 at Macon County Conservation District, 3939 Nearing Lane in Decatur. This free event will include tours of the Heritage, Herb, and Native gardens. Register by July 26 at go.illinois.edu/dmpevents.
