Macon County to begin sealcoating various roads next week

July 13, 2021 – Weather Permitting, starting Monday, July 19, 2021, Macon County will be sealcoating various roads. Expect lane closures and delays. Please do not drive on wet oil or blow grass onto the roadways.

Work will start at CH 60 (Sefton Road) between Macon County Line and Route 121 and will continue to CH 35 (McDonald Road) between Macon County Line to CH 34 (Walker Road).

The work will then move to CH 34 (Walker Road) from Route 128 to Route 51, followed by a move to CH 49 (Walmsley Road) from CH 30 (Elwin Road) to CH 34 (Walker Road). The work will finish at CH 67 (Jacobs Road) between the Macon County Line to CH 34 (Walker Road).

Work will start at 6:30 am and run until approximately 2 pm daily until the job is completed.
