July 21, 2021 – The Beautify Decatur Coalition has announced the winners of its 2021 Let’s Keep Decatur Bee-utiful Contest.
“As usual, our judges had some very difficult decisions to make due to the number and quality of entries we received,” said Jill Davis, co-chair of the Beautify Decatur Coalition, which organizes the contest. “We’re pleased to recognize these businesses who put so much effort into their buildings’ public presence and curb appeal.”
Winners of the 2021 Let’s Keep Decatur Bee-utiful Contest are:
• Best Use of Flowers – Decatur Public Library (winner receives a Striglos desk chair worth $500+ & 1 Free Papa Murphy’s pizza/month for a year)
• Best Landscape – St. Mary’s Cancer Care Center (winner receives $500 landscaping/flowers from Connie’s Country Greenhouse)
• Best Signage – Commodore Decatur Yacht Club (winner receives $500 Speed Lube service gift card)
• Most Litter-Free – Billingsley 66 Car Wash (winner receives $500 Cedar Lake Gardens & Gifts gift card)
• Most Popular Award – Northgate Pet Plaza (winner receives a $500 Lowe’s gift card and a wheelbarrow full of $250 worth of garden tools)
Businesses can enter in one of four categories, and the public votes on a Most Popular Award. Winners are recognized at a special award presentation on their property, on the Beautify Decatur Coalition website. Registration is free and typically runs June 1-30, with judges visiting entrant businesses the first week of July.
