Jim Stewart named head baseball coach at St. Teresa High School

July 28, 2021 – Jim Stewart was recently appointed to the position of Head Baseball Coach at St. Teresa High School for the 2021-2022 school year.

He replaces JD Arnold, who served as Head Coach for the past 6 seasons. Stewart is an alumnus of St. Teresa High School, graduating in 1986. While attending St. Teresa, Stewart was a multi-sport athlete. Coach Stewart was a player on the 1986 Basketball team that went to the IHSA State Quarterfinals. He was the head baseball coach at St. Teresa High School from 2000 – 2014. He had an overall record of 297-154. This includes 4 conference championships, 5 regional championships, and 2 sectional finals.

Prior to coaching at St. Teresa Stewart was head coach of Maroa Forsyth from 1995-1997, with an overall record of 47-37, including a conference championship and a trip to the Illinois State finals. Upon taking the position Coach Stewart stated, “I am humbled and excited at the opportunity to be coaching at St. T again. I look forward to coaching and sharing my passion and knowledge of the game with a great group of student-athletes. I hope to continue to build on these athlete’s foundational skills and help the program become what I know it can be.”
