
August 12, 2021 – Area residents are reminded that foot and vehicle traffic will be increasing with students returning to Millikin University’s campus starting on Saturday, August 14.
Millikin University will be hosting multiple move-in days for first-year students beginning Saturday, August 14 through Tuesday, August 17, from 8 am – 3 pm each day.
New Student Welcome Week 2021 will start on Tuesday, August 17, and run through Sunday, August 22. The New Student Welcome Week experience will teach first-year students what is expected in the college environment and how to best engage in the Millikin community to ensure success. First-year students will also learn about student organizations, studying abroad, internships, student media, intramurals and recreation, community service and many more programs and services that support their academic goals, personal development, holistic well-being and life pursuits.
Returning students will be moving in throughout New Student Welcome Week both on and off-campus. Classes at Millikin University will start Monday, August 23. Millikin University’s Office of Public Safety will be stepping up vehicle and pedestrian enforcement in the area focusing on speeding, crosswalks, and distracted driving (cell use).
