October 14, 2021 – The Salvation Army is responding to meet the increased needs of families and neighbors this Christmas in the community under the 2021 Christmas Season Theme Hope Marches On.

Following a second year marked by hardships and challenges where families are now becoming one of the fastest-growing segments of the homeless population, The Salvation Army will help provide comfort, care, and Hope for more than 1000 families and neighbors in our area between now and Christmas Day.

“Our goal is to meet human needs without discrimination providing meals, food, warm clothing, gifts for boys and girls, and other critical assistance for families and all who might otherwise go without this Christmas.” says Local Officer, Lt. Kenesa Debela.

To help support The Decatur Salvation Army this Christmas, look for a Salvation Army bell ringer with a red kettle or give online here. You can also sign up to become a bell ringer here between Nov 12 & Dec 24 or help collect toys for local families by hosting an Angel Tree.

Details about the 2021 Season are on the Salvation Army’s website.
