October 18, 2021 – Experience Homestead Prairie Farm after dark during the annual Candlelight Tour on Saturday, November 13. This special open house will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Rock Springs Conservation Area. You may visit anytime during these hours.
Explore Homestead Prairie Farm by candlelight and lamplight during this special annual event. Experience an evening in the 1860s as guides walk you through the home. There will also be a campfire in the yard for you to enjoy before and after your tour. This event is free and for all ages. No registration required. Dress for the weather. Homestead Prairie Farm is a living history site that portrays 1860s rural Illinois. Built around the historic Trobaugh-Good House, the site includes an heirloom vegetable garden, herb garden, and a woodworking shop. Homestead Prairie Farm opens for tours every Saturday and Sunday, from 1-4pm in June through October. Admission is free.
