After teasing the song on social media last week, Avril Lavigne has official released “Bite Me,” her first new music since 2019. A short snip of the song on TikToc has already amassed over 10 million views. It doubles as a label debut for Travis Barker’s DTA Records.
Avril said of Travis Barker… “The first time we worked together was 15 years ago on my album The Best Damn Thing and I have really enjoyed watching him develop into the producer that he is today.”
The two of them have spent a lot of time writing songs and working on her new album together. She says that he understands her vision as a musician and her creative process as an artist.
Travis Barker co-produced the new single with John Feldmann and Mod Sun.
A new video will be released soon, as well as tour dates for next year.
