LISTEN: Kramer Soderberg, Millikin Men’s Head Basketball Coach, talked about the start of the 2021-2022 season, and how he is transitioning into his new role as head coach.

After serving as an assistant coach, on the Millikin’s Men’s Basketball staff since 2015, Kramer Soderberg was named head coach, before the 2021-2022 season began.

Last season, the Big Blue were forced to play a shortened season, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This season, Millikin is looking at a full 25-game season.

Coach Soderberg earned his first win as head coach, in the season opener against Blackburn College.

Soderberg is not the only coach on this Men’s Basketball staff, with their first win, in a new position. Assistant coach Tom Noonan, former head coach of the St. Teresa Boy’s Basketball Team, gets his first collegiate win under his belt. Noonan served as head coach for 11 seasons.

After splitting the first two games, the Big Blue are focused on the next task at hand. Facing off against Spalding University. That game is slated for a 3 PM ET tipoff on Saturday, November 13th, in Louisville, Kentucky.
