With the IHSA State playoffs winding down across all divisions, several local student-athletes were recognized by the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) as the top of their sport.
In the 1A division, Jarrett Robertson from Central A&M and Beau Edwards from Arcola were awarded First Team All-State. Meanwhile, Patrick Pierce from Tuscola took home the Honorable Mention.
In the 2A division, Cade Culp from Maroa-Forsyth received First Team honors. Denim Cook from St Teresa was also placed on the First Team roster, with his teammate, Justice Chapman, and Kaden Feagin from ALAH grabbing the Honorable Mentions.
Mt Zion represented the 4A division as Christian Keyhea was recognized as First Team, with Ryne Buttz finding a spot as an Honorable Mention.
The 5A division saw Aidan Spurgeon from Mattoon find his place on the First Team All-State roster.
