January 7, 2022 – On Friday, January 7, Decatur Earthmover Credit Union donated $14,350 to local organizations as a result of their Christmas loan campaign. The Good Samaritan Inn and the Salvation Army each received $5,925 and Hopes and Dreams of Paris, IL received $2,500.
Earthmover’s Christmas loan campaign, which ran from October 15th to December 31st, was aimed at giving back. The credit union chose to donate 4% of the total dollar amount of Christmas loans done during the campaign.
“We recognize the need in our community to not only provide affordable loan options to people of all different financial circumstances, but to give back to organizations that provide services to our community’s most vulnerable population,” says Jes Younghouse, Marketing Director at Earthmover. She continues, “It’s our goal to be a partner on an individual level, and on a community level.”
