January 10, 2022 – Young Leaders In Action (YLIA) of Macon County has announced a grant application for nonprofit organizations aiming to impact youth within Macon County. The $5,000 grant will help fund these organizations so that they can strive for their goals. The grant application portal is now open and will close February 28th at midnight.
To apply, visit the YLIA Facebook page or The Community Foundation of Macon County website at https://www.maconcountygives.org/YLIA. Groups who apply will be kept in the loop on their application’s process. Eligible projects must be targeted toward the goal of bringing about positive change for youth in a school or community setting. Macon County nonprofit organizations, clubs or groups are eligible to apply. Youth-led groups are especially encouraged to apply.
“Young Leaders in Action is beyond excited to provide another group in our community an opportunity to impact Macon County in a positive way,” says YLIA Program Facilitator Temethia Joyner. “For our members it also provides a real-world application of all the aspects of grantmaking, from start to finish.”
