January 10, 2022 – Macon Resources, Inc., a local not-for-profit that provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, announced today the move of their MRI Kids programs to their new location at 2525 Federal Drive in Park 101.

Services will begin in the new building effective Monday, January 17th. The move is a necessary and positive step towards the future of services for children with developmental disabilities in the community. The agency is excited to use the new location to expand and grow the current services being provided such as:

 Speech and Language Therapy – a one-to-one program that provides evaluations and therapy to children with a wide range of speech disorders

 Bright Start – an early childhood home visiting and family support program that provides services to families with children birth through preschool in Macon County

 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – a one-to-one program that provides instruction to improve the day-to-day life of children with developmental disabilities through teaching skills and decreasing behaviors that interfere with learning

 Camp Earth – a six-week summer program for youth ages 14-21 where participants benefit from hands on experience working in area neighborhoods to enrich the environment and their surroundings

 Parent’s Night Out – a recently resurrected respite program that gives parents and guardians a night out, while giving the children an opportunity for social interaction and creative play

“We couldn’t be more excited about the new location for our MRI Kids programs.” said Amy Bliefnick, MRI President and CEO. “This location will give us the space we need so we can better serve our local children with developmental disabilities and their families.”
