
January 19, 2022 – Dr. Antonio Lozada will join Memorial Surgery Center (previously DMH Center for Advanced Surgery) in Decatur as a general surgeon.
Lozada received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2012.
He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2017 and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Washington University in St. Louis in 2018. He earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry and physiology at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.
Prior to joining Memorial Surgery Center in Decatur, Lozada was an acute care surgeon at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. He was also an assistant clinical professor of surgery at SIU School of Medicine. Other teaching appointments include directing and instructing an advanced trauma life support course.
Lozada is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery/critical care.
Lozada will see patients at Memorial Surgery Center, 1 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur.
