February 10, 2022 – Millikin University’s Center for Academic and Professional Performance, Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society, Tabor Student Advisory Council and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization will host a Dress to Impress event on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022. The event will be held from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance on the 1st floor of the University Commons on Millikin’s campus.
The goal of Dress to Impress is to ensure all Millikin students have access to quality business attire for interviews, internships and their careers beyond Millikin. All clothing has been generously donated by Millikin and Decatur, Ill., community members. Through a partnership with Waite’s Dry Cleaners, all clothing will be cleaned for new owners.
During the event, Millikin alumni, faculty and employees from The Brass Horn will be in attendance to provide professional dress advice and help students put together an outfit that they can take with them for free.
In addition, Millikin’s Center for Academic and Professional Performance has created a new career closet in the University Commons that will provide business attire for students throughout the academic year. Following the Dress to Impress event, all remaining donations will be available to students through the career closet.
