February 15, 2022 – Drew Early, CEO of Decatur Memorial Hospital and Dr. Cris Valdez, President of Richland Community College, joined Byers & Co to announce a $3.2 Million gift by the Decatur Memorial Foundation to expand Richland Community College Nursing Programs.
The expansion will occur over the next four years, as both organizations address the shortage of nurses in the area.
Through the collaboration, Decatur Memorial Hospital and Richland Community College plan to triple the number of qualified students applying for enrollment into the college’s nursing and healthcare professions programs.
