February 17, 2022 – Holly Whalen, a certified respiratory therapist, is the Memorial Health Ambulatory Division Colleague of the Month for January.
“Holly handles all the complex hospital discharges to make sure families have all the equipment needed for a safe discharge,” said John Shoup, Whalen’s nominator and one of her co-workers at Memorial Home Medical Supply in Jacksonville.
Whalen, of Franklin, has worked at Memorial Health for 14 years.
Whalen has streamlined the process for her patients who require recurring supplies of medical equipment and provisions in their homes. In addition, “she has expert knowledge regarding insurance and billing and ensures all documentation is in place so claims are processed cleanly,” said Shoup.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hunting, crafting and spending time with her husband, Jon, of 14 years, and their five children and seven grandchildren.
