March 1, 2022 – Young Leaders In Action (YLIA) of Macon County has announced membership applications have opened for the 2022-2023 school year. Applications open March 1st and close April 30th at midnight. New and returning members need to fill out the application. YLIA has many opportunities to grow within the organization and would love to have leaders who are striving to help the community.
To apply, visit HERE. Leaders who apply will be kept in the loop on their application’s process. Any high school student, including homeschooled high school students who are in Macon County are eligible to apply.

We are so excited about being a place where area high school students that are passionate about service can grow and thrive.” says YLIA Program Facilitator Temethia Joyner, “Students that actively engage within the organization grow lifelong leadership skills through powerful experiences like grant-making, navigating community media, marketing, fundraising, event planning, and so much more. I am looking forward to seeing some fresh faces joining the amazing group of leaders we already have. The addition of new members allows us to continue to impact Macon County in meaningful ways.”
