March 3, 2022 – Today the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Cocoday.
The ribbon-cutting was rescheduled from February 17th. Due to inclement weather, both the Chamber and Cocoday decided it was best to move the event to today.
The owner of Cocoday previously operated Cocomero, which first opened on Valentine’s Day in 2013. Cocomero closed in January 2021, after their building contract ended.
In a Facebook post about the closure, the owner said, “[When Cocomero opened,] we wanted introduce healthy Korean cuisine and started serving food as well. We felt proud seeing our customers enjoy our food and service.” The owner also expressed hope to someday reopen at a new location.
A year later, Cocoday has opened shop at Hickory Point Mall.
The restaurant is serving healthy Korean cuisine, iconic frozen yogurt, and bubble tea.
