Community Foundation Urges Aid for People of Ukraine

March 9, 2022 – The people of Ukraine are in urgent need of help. More than 2.9 million have been affected during this ongoing humanitarian crisis; many of them are enduring freezing temperatures and lacking shelter, heat and water. Many Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homeland to find refuge.

To help provide emergency aid to Ukraine during this desperate time:

  • Call 217.429.3000 about making a donation from a fund you’ve established at The Community Foundation of Macon County.
  • Or make your donation directly to a nonprofit organization; listed below are a few charitable organizations providing aid to Ukraine that are ranked by Charity Navigator as “Give with Confidence.”
