March 25, 2022 – Originally scheduled to open on March 27, a brand new exhibit at Rock Springs Nature Center is now slated to open Sunday, April 10 at 2 pm.
The new exhibit, called the EcoCenter, was made possible thanks to a $400,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The exhibit features information about the Macon County Conservation District, some history about the land they manage, interactive elements including a life-size half-wigwam, and information on how to help conservation efforts in your own home.
The Open House is free to attend and refreshments will be served.
