March 29, 2022 – Montessori Academy will be hosting Throwback Prom, a fundraising event on April 2nd at the Decatur Club.
This will be their third year putting this adult prom event on and this year, they are making it bigger and better.
“I think it’s the kind of event that brings up fond memories. Most people really enjoyed their prom and it’s a good time to go back to and relive,” said Abby Steele, event organizer. “The organizers put a lot of effort into the details that add to the event. For example, there will be Blockbuster rentals this year where you pay $20 and you pick your rental off the wall and open it up and there will be a $20 or more gift card to local stores or restaurants.”
The funds raised will go to supporting programming such as family night events, classroom support, and outdoor education at Camp Ondessonk.
The event is for anyone and everyone. While the event is themed, they will not turn you away at the door for not sporting a prom look.
