April 14, 2022 – Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, in partnership with Hickory Point Bank and Neuhoff Media, will host the annual Operation Cookie Share effort in Springfield and Decatur on Monday, April 18. The Decatur cookie donation sites include Central Park and any Hickory Point Bank location; and in Springfield, the Hickory Point Bank at 3131 Wabash Ave and the Old State Capitol Plaza.
The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 18 at the designated locations. The Old State Capitol Plaza in Springfield will only serve until 1:00 p.m.
Throughout the day, local Girl Scouts will take donations for boxes of cookies to be set aside and donated to military troops serving both at home and overseas, frontline responders and healthcare workers. This effort has collected and shared nearly 25,000 boxes of cookies over the last 8 years.
As part of the 2022 Operation Cookie Share, Neuhoff radio will be broadcasting live the day of the event. Diggity Dawgs, Cindy’s Delights, Kansas City Pit BBQ, Mr. Softee food trucks (Decatur), Casa Real and Nothing Bundt Cakes (Springfield) will be on site from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Operation Cookie Share.
