The Harlem Wizards were started in 1962 by New York sports promoter Howie Davis. Davis wanted to put on a show with an organization that highlighted a different type of basketball show. The Wizards focus on the show and work on fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits nationwide. Last season, they played in over 450 communities nationwide and raised more than $3 million for schools and non-profits.
