Salvation Army food pantry returning to Client Choice

April 20, 2022 –  Before the Pandemic, The Salvation Army’s food pantry was set up in more of a store or market style. This food was always provided at no charge but families could choose what they wanted and needed. During the pandemic, they were unable to have their clients in the pantry and we provided just pre-boxed food.

The Salvation Army’s Client Choice approach has returned this month and they are announcing that their official grand opening will be on Wednesday, April 27th. Families will again be able to choose the food their family prefers based on taste preference & dietary needs which will also help them be better stewards and cut down on food being wasted if it was not used.

Stop by their Pantry on Wednesday, April 27th at 9 am to see the changes they have arranged for the community. The Salvation Army’s continuing goal is that no family goes hungry in this community and now offer even more healthy and practical choices for families to choose as they “shop” for the food they need and want for their families.

The Salvation Army’s Food Pantry is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9 am to noon.
