April 23, 2022 – Today, United Way of Decatur & Mid-Illinois hosted the second Food Truck Frenzy at Fairview Park. The event ran from 11 am to 2 pm.
The public was invited to enjoy the afternoon at the park, visit the food trucks, and have fun with other family-friendly activities. The Scovill Mobile Zoo and the Heroes of Legend Cosplay were also at the Frenzy. A variety of food trucks from the central Illinois area were spread out in parking lots around the main park pavilion.
“It’s great seeing the park this full, there are a ton of people here. I was just saying to someone that I hope people see the park this full. It’s awesome to see so many people out on a nice day enjoying good food,” said Zach Keck, Co-owner of Notorious PIG BBQ. “The United Way did a great job for us. Seeing a day like this is exactly why we do what we do.”
