Donation Collection Underway for Residents Affected by Warrensburg Apartment Fire

April 26, 2022 – A fire that displaced over 25 residents in Warrensburg, IL ran its course early Monday morning on April 25. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Firefighters took hours as they attempted to extinguish the flames that ultimately destroyed the entire complex. The apartments were located near Southland Drive and Southland Court. It is reported that some residents were required to jump from windows on the second floor in order to escape the fire.

As a result of the fire, donations of the following items are being collected at Colee’s Corner Drugs and Village of Forsyth: Household goods, diapers, wipes, bottles, cups, toys and pet supplies.

Pay attention the following schedules for donations to allow those affected to get back on their feet:

  • Forsyth Village Hall – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
  • Colee’s Corner Drugs – 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
